These details may seem small in the grand scheme of things, but they really enhance the game’s virtual reality experience that they were created for. When a player holds a bottle and shakes it, the liquid moves as if the person was holding the bottle in real life, flowing with more fluidity than some other games’ controls have in the virtual reality landscape. While that doesn’t seem like a big deal, the game also creates amazingly realistic physics that Valve has underlying the liquid’s movement. Half-Life: Alyx’s update introduced a feature that added liquid inside bottles.

Edit (2020): I see this demo still getting downloads years after being made, please keep in mind there's almost nothing to do, the whole demo is two scenes and a weapon test.
